ATOL Protection

What is ATOL? 

The ATOL scheme (which stands for Air Travel Organisers’ Licensing) is financial protection that protects you when you book a package trip that includes a flight, specifically to cover holiday-makers if their travel company stops trading while they’re abroad. This protection includes assisting you to stay in your holiday accommodation (if possible), reimbursing you for any money spent to replace ATOL-protected parts of your trip (such as car hire and transfers), and arranging flights home – depending on the circumstances. Does utc.travel offer ATOL protection?

We’re proud to say we provide ATOL protection on all bookings that include flights, so you can still get the best price AND relax knowing you’re covered should anything happen while you’re away. For all flight and flight-inclusive holidays originating from the UK we act as an agent for Light Blue Travel who are financially protected by the ATOL scheme (registered license number: 5489).

For all bookings, your contract will be with the applicable Service Provider of your chosen Travel Service (who may be the principal or the agent of the principal) and utc.travel acts only as an agent on their behalf, except where we state to the contrary in our terms and conditions.

For all flight and flight-inclusive holidays originating from the UK we act as agent for Light Blue Travel who are financially protected by the ATOL scheme (registered license number: 5489). But ATOL protection does not apply to all holiday and travel services listed on this website. If you do not receive an ATOL Certificate then the booking will not be ATOL protected. If you do receive an ATOL Certificate but all the parts of your trip are not listed on it, those parts will not be ATOL protected.
